I love a political debate. Court lawyers like a bit of verbal jousting and I guessed Kamala Harris would be good. She was a prosecutor after all and they are the most skilled at thinking on their feet.

I wondered if Trump was trying to appeal to all the crazy single cat ladies when he came out with his “eating the pets” stream of consciousness. It has a pleasing, almost poetic rhythm.

I could never be a politician. They spout such utter nonsense. Imagine saying that and worse still imagine having to respond to that. I’d be thinking “I went to University and practiced law, a really hard profession. I resent ending up having to explain race baiting to an orange, white supremacist, xenophobic, total fool”. Worse still, would be knowing that lots of people (a) believe him and (b) would choose him over me in a popularity contest.

I think the “eating the pets” soliloquy deserves to be mercilessly mocked and this video is particularly cute. Enjoy! And hopes and prayers that Kamala wins the election. Only 38 days to go.
